2025/01/16 - Out of work journalist sets up prove of concept preview of Just the Facts, a site presenting various news stories as short informative blocks of text on a single page, rather than articles of arbitrary length gated behind paywalls with potentially misleading headlines baiting readers into clicking through for details, as most people only read these often wildly innacurate headlines and do not proceed to the articles themselves.

2025/01/15 - The UK government is rejecting calls for a proper peer review of April 2024's Cass report, the latest piece of transphobic propaganda being used to justify bigoted policy, in spite of the actual internationally recognized authority on transition related healthcare WPATH observing, "the Cass Review relies on selective and inconsistent use of evidence, and its recommendations often do not follow from the data presented in the systematic reviews."
2025/01/14 - The "Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act of 2025" has passed the house in the U.S., aiming to ban trans girls from sports on the basis of "a person's reproductive biology and genetics at birth." Those voting against the bill have noted that in addition to being a proposed fix for a problem which does not actually exist, in practice this will serve to enable child predators by giving broad permission to strip and physically "inspect" children's genitals, as has been the case with similar policies throughout history.
